Surplus Garands from South Korea

If the winning auction bid on the lot was over 300 bucks per rifle, I would have to think that they would wind up being 800-1000 retail by the time they got here.
I agree, so I will take just one - if in fact they are coming….

Based on previous posts, there are parts included so depending on what parts and how many, that could double the possible profit for the importers and may be why we are seeing more garand parts including the recievers going cheaper in anticipation of the influx of parts! There are also way more Garands on the EE lately!

I don't want to contribute to any overhype but I would take one or two as well If they come in, which is all up to Marstar. But sometimes the supply can be found but not brought in for the demand so I won't be mad if you can't get them John.

I'd be interested if the price are reasonable. I already got over 700 $ tide up in what is a bot over half a garand, I can't fork out big cash for these sadly:(...unless they arrive a couple of monts or later in 2014 then all bets are off:D

In an e-mail exchange with Lee Tae-hoon right after the Tester piece came out the journalist noted that the Onbid.go.kr bid ended with the winner offering 30,821,850,000 won, or $26,109,148.67 for 84,417 M1 rifles and their parts- which comes out to $309.29 per rifle/parts. At least it sounds like progress is being made.

I`m surprised the wife didn`t ask me what the 30 million dollars I put on the Mastercard was all about. I`d just use my usual answer of ``Don`t worry babe, it`s a surprise``

I know that the Garand is in 30-06, but I heard some of them were made in .308. were they made that way or are they re-barreled that way?
