Anyone know where to find some? a friend of mine and two packages yesterday at the range and my svt40 loved the stuff groups went from 6.5"+ to about 4.5-5 at 100 yards it ate the stuff up like a child with whip cream.

I use heavy ball in my Mosin PU my regular mosins I use whatever is availible

MFS has a Heavier GR rnd availible 180+GR i have seen 3 different ones

I just traded a tin of Hungarian heavy ball. I didn't find it special, but I never did a comparison, side by side.

Lots of auto loaders don't much care for soft points.... one of the many reasons the FMJ was devised.

They can still feed decently though, depending on magazine position, fit and feed ramp angles and roughness.

I shoot 203gr soft point MFS and LVE out of my Mosins and SVT for hunting. No problems to report. Deer just seem to fall over dead. The m44 and M38 tend to punch the shoulder a little harder, but can't get over the love of the flame it shoots out.

My SVT seems to like them, never had a single issue with the 40 or 50 I've fired. I guess you just have to make sure the rifle is clean and working proper....

My svt hates the mfs 185 grain. The bulgarian 180 grain yellow tip shot perfect and suprisingly accurate. Where have you guys seen the softpoints for sale? I have only seen the s&b sp on sfrc. But I don’t realy want to spend money on sp for plinking on the farm/range.
