Surplus Irish Body Armour?

The plates themselves are very large and the front has "operator cuts" but just barely. It will prevent you from getting a "proper" isosceles stance/grip when using a pistol but nothing that is unmanageable.

Was fooling around with it last night - this is very prevalent, but I can get a decent stance with my AR. The front plate gets in the way a little bit, but you can manage. I'll do a range test later this week.

How physically large are you?

I could chime in something crude here, but I won't.

I'm 5'11 tall, 180 lbs, I think my chest is 40" my waist is 34." (I'm a medium hight, medium build - not muscular, not skinny, no beer gut).

I took it to the range last week and tried doing handgun draws, transitions, reloads (of the vest), etc. using my drop offset waist holster and my Sub2k. Then I stood around like a goomba wearing the vest while cleaning my guns (about an hour all told).

I had some pretty good chaufing on both my shoulders afterwards, but nothing unbearable. Wouldn't want to wear it for over 8 hours doing room clearing, that's for sure.

Good workout too.

So just for fun i took my vest out to an airsoft game in London the past weekend and after running around in the heat for 5+ hours i couldnt wear it anymore
i would hate to have to do that in the sandbox with more gear on top of that..
