The new order of 15 Vests is due here on Tuesday.
I never saw any XL size Irish l4 vests for sale. Anyone heard they exist?
The Irish are wee people, closely related to leprechauns. Even the large is just to allow for beer bellys. (relax, I've got a family of Irish blood around me.)
Just got home and guess what was waiting for me. Oh ya. Damn guys that was fast shipping. Thanks again, I tried it on and it was not as heavy as I expected. Question. Are the side wrap panels kevlar aswell or is it just the plates front and back? Havn't decided if I will remove plates or not yet. I don't notice any smell like some previous posts. It's in great condition.
I got mine today and am wearing it as I speak.
Very heavy, and it would be difficult to get an isoceles stance - but not a weaver one using an AR.
The vest was listed in "good" shape, was fairly worn with much of the velcro/nylon frayed. Usable on it's own, still but I had other plans.
I bought a medium and after ripping out the panels - it fits snugly inside one of these without modification:

Very nice in a Mad Max kind of way. Highly recommended.
I'm 6'0" tall and weigh 185 in ok shape.
What size should i get?
Will medium be ok, may put in a plate carrier later.
do you find the stances are easily manageable now when placed in such carrier?

Do you know if the ceramic plates are bigger in the large level 4 vest as compared to medium? And if so, do you think they would be too big for the UTG vest pictured above? No point spending extra money buying the large if I'm going to cut it up anyways or if the plates aren't going to fit.
Thanks.
