Would any one know any stores that hold a large variety of surplus rifles in the rough area of any where between Ottawa and Quebec city. And i mean more then just SKS's and mosin nagants (91/30)'s. im still new to the rifle surplus market and i like to see rifles in hand.

Your best bet to see a large variety of milsurps is a gun show. Generally speaking most gun shops would only have very few on hand at any one point in time.

sounds good but would you know of any major event that could be on in my area bracket withing the next future till the end of the world next year in december. i would be down for New brunswick also if its big enough

Trade Ex is not open to the Public (Internet sales only), there is a Gunshow in Montreal in January and a small Show near you in Ancienne-Lorette in the Spring.

Thats one of the negatives regarding trade ex, they don't want to hand pick & they wont let you pick even if you happen to be in the hood. I had cash in hand for an enfield but didn't have time to make it to either weimajack's place or P&S & a generic "enfield" wasn't what i had in mind. Why pay $30-50 shipping when you are across the street? Same thing with north sylva, i live 15 min away but they dont sell to the public.

Just ask Anthony or is father they will describe the rifle with no exageration , they are a good shop... JP.

Anthony has stated the fact that Tradex does not have a store front and their Permit does not allow any retail sales at their location. Contact them by phone or E-Mail and they will do their best to help you out with a mail-order purchase.

I have dealt with Tradeex for years-they go out of their way to ensure their rifles are very accurately decribed-erring on the under conservative side.Anything I have purchased from them was in better condition than they said it was. While you may not be able to actually handle the rifle before you buy it-they will send you all the detailed pictures you want.My son recently purchased a Tokarev pistol that had a broken ejector-one was in the mail -no questions asked.

Don't get me wrong, I have always had great dealings with them & find their prices very reasonable but its frustrating as hell to be in the same city & still have to ship it back to ont. Great place to buy if you are looking for a mosin but if you are looking for a 1945 dated 91/30 in its original stock with original parts, not so much.

I would look for gun/estate auctions in your area. This is where I have had the most luck. As a plus you will usually pay collector value and not full retail.

gun/ estate auctions? never heard of em how do you find em?

Get on the mailing lists of many of the Auctioneers in your area, or a distance that you are willing to travel. There is usually a Provincial Auctioneers Association where you can get the names of local ones. Many have websites and will send out e-mailed information or mail waybills.

I would recommend p&s any day. They were quick with any questions I had, their site is well set up and has lots of info about each individual firearm. If they say its as issued its as issued! Not sure if they have a storefront, but if they do and I'm ever
On that side of the continent I'll stop in for sure! Shipping was fast and fair priced. Packaging was done excellently. Rifle was beyond my expectations. They said the bore was good but I think its excellent, same goes for metal although I'd call it vg+. Very happy and will buy from them again!

I hear you on your frustration with Tradeex not being able to show you a rifle due to not being licenced-but with the anti gun sentiment from the politically correct-I don't blame them for not doing anything to violate the law which would likely result in a huge fine and being shut down. Its just not worth it.I'm on the west coast so Tradeex not having a store front is not an issue with me,and they're more than willing to accomodate you with detailed pictures and information

Milsurps are cheap to get into. Buy a few cheap ones (mosins, SKS, Enfields, K-31) etc and keep what you like and sell what you don't.

I going in this way and lost hundreds of $$ because to can sell the guns that I do not like I have to lower the phurchasing price including taxes with about 20%.
I recommand buy the best or from the people who accept to offer 3 days no firing inspection.

Well I ended up keeping all mine :D

So I guess I don't have experience with losing money selling them.
