Make me a good offer. I've got a type 2 SUSAT for sale, excellent condition (the difference in the types is the mount). Before you ask, you can only mount it on an SA80 unless you have a custom rail made for whatever it is you want to mount it on, or a custom mount.
I had the sight atop my SLR in the mid 80's when I was in the British Army. Of course it was only at the range that we actually used it. Thereafter we used the iron sights. The sight had just a post like our C79 optical sights. The Susat was a great piece of kit.

It is odd how little attention I paid to the names of things while I was in. Yes, thanks for the correction Kevin B. My platoon was the last intake in the Army to get issued the SLR. Thereafter all other intakes at the infantry depot got the right-handed-only-so-I-couldn't-use-it SA-80.
It would be nice to be able to buy an SLR.
