After his death, the group carried his body to a nearby road so passers-by could find it in the morning before vanishing from the park.
Good buddies he had.

The elephants got some exercise.
The lions got fed .
The rhinos get to live another day.
A win win situation I think.

sounds like Natural Selection at its finest.
I hunt moose and deer every year here in Canada, a couple of years ago I was at the Metro Toronto Zoo watching the pair of white Rhino's they have gallop around their paddock for a good half hour. I made sure not to leave to be able to remember the whole thing and reminded my daughter that she may never see such a thing again. Brings a tear to my eye actually. I support sustainable hunting in Africa though poaching endangered animals like the Rhino is really sad. Poverty mixed with large financial rewards however will lead to many things, Better to employ the poachers as sustainable hunters to preserve the natural ecology for future generations to see, experience and enjoy.
Phil sadly many of these poachers hunt for the meat, sustenance. Then there are those that will offer " hunts " to tourists for far less than the outfitters do. When you see someone making 10-20 even 50k from a hunt and you live hand to mouth is it not a stretch that they will break resort to this.
True, most of these guys are living a subsistence existence and just trying to get by.
