sussex barrel

I had a sporterized Enfield No 4 with Sussex stamped on it, apparently a British company that converted rifles post-war into sporters. It had a full-length barrel with front sight and bayonet lugs.

Yes, Sussex was a brand name on sporter conversions, it doesn't mean anything particular about the barrel, that's just where they stamped the name.

Sussex barrels are made in the UK and are a hammer forged barrel. They just started production a short time ago and are a class act company. The owner is a very knowledgeable manufacturer, engineer and shooter.

Sir-we are talking about 1970-ish conversions-not new production firearms with similar names 40 years later...
