SVD mags work in a .308 valmet?

Nope, many of the Valmet mags I see are factory converted G3 steel mags.

No i was going to when i heard about the $300 valmet mags.
If the SVD ones worked then i could spread those around and reduce the cost 10 fold.
Have to keep looking for ones that will work

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't SVD mags be set up for slightly longer rimmed cases and not rimless more compact cases.

SVD also comes in 7.62x51 .

Cheap CETME mags (@$5) might work if you arrange them to be pinned stateside.

There was a guy in the US modifying Galil mags to work with the Valmet... If you go over to the Valmet forum, you'll find guys using reworked older G3 and M1A...
