Barrel on these were shortened by Globe by about an inch, so restoration is impossible without a new barrel.

I vote for leaving it as it is. Not all bubba work is created equal. Once there's some history behind it, it takes on a life of its own. We all love our FSR guns and captures etc.....the difference is a fairly fine line.

It is a neat rifle with lots of history, but the bore is rather corroded so it needs replacing.
If it was in good shape or military mod it would not get touched.
Looks like a simple barrel swap and muzzle brake is all that's needed so that a bonus!
