SVT-40 at the range

BTW, my son who works as an F-18 tech is flying in this coming weekend. We are going to the range for a little tandem SVT-40 shooting !!!
 
Took mine out first time today. Cycled flawlessly with a 1.3 settings and good old Russian ammo. Had a pretty good grouping from 100 meters away. But MAN IT IS A LAUD LAUD GUN!!!! And the shock wave!!.... I think it cracked the ice on a lake we were shooting at! My buddies had to stand BEHIND me or become death.
Other than that - fun and ###y gun! I also was shooting my SKS and you definatly notice a big difference between two rifles. I have a hard time deciding which one I like better.

Haha yeah you definitely need hearing protection if your around an svt
