svt 40 bayonets in Calgary

Nazi Bill does fill a niche in the market.

I am a collector, I work part time in the gun industry and I work gun shows. There has rarely been a store or dealer that at some point I have not had a bad dealing with. But on the flip side - I have had more good deals than bad deals and it all works out in the wash.

Buyer beware.

If a store has a box of 80 brand new looking bayonets then ya they are probably made in the last 10 years. But so I bought a bayonet from him for my FR8 and only an idiot would think its original when I dug through a box of about 200 of them. But at least he has every ammo that I have needed. The next time in Calgary I will swing by there and stock up on ammo. Hope he still has some Mauser 8 mm.

Why do you all him nazi bill? Isn't that racist and offensive? Or is that really his nickname?

It goes back to when C-68 was getting drafted/rammed through parliament. He posed himself as a firearms expert/spokesman for the firearms community, and did some TV interviews in his shop. He ended up coming off as a bit of a loudmouth redneck standing in front of a Nazi flag, so I'm sure you can imagine how that went over.

Oh, that's never good for our community.

As a military historical interpreter and avid hunter my friends, colleagues, acquaintances, etc. are used to me conversing matter-of-factly about firearms, venison, etc.

Normalizing these subjects are key to getting the general population to remembering this stuff was all around us less than 30-40 years ago and it is only urbanization that is responsible for its decline.

I think the best fake SVT 40 bayonets are the ones sold from time to time on eBay from Bulgaria.

Bulgaria maintained a stock of SVT-40s after the war (some of which were imported into Canada) and many of the slings and bayonets that come out of Bulgaria are completely legitimate so I don't understand this comment?

I was buying ammo some 8 x 56 and he did say it's kind of rare, so I said I just need it to shoot beer cans and that's what I did. He was probably I would buy the whole stack of ammo.
