I have a SVT-40 that has a slam fire problem. I'm sure it's because of cosmo in the bolt. Does anyone have any directions on how to disassemble the bolt? Or should I just soak the thing in varsol or something. If I just let it soak how would I lightly oil it again? I wouldn't want the insides of the bolt rusting because they no longer have any oil.

Easy, at the rear of bolt, drift out the cross pin and after you can remove the firing pin. The extractor can be removed by pushing it rearward a bit and pulling it from the bolt, that can take a fews try to disengage the extractor . My bolt is free off oil since manys years and no rust, just strip it from time to time to inspect. Hope that help:)
