btw, I actually looked up "######, SK" to see if there's a place near regina I don't know about :S
I second this.
Hopefully the SVT-40 you're working with has a poor/fair bore...
Just my 2 cents.
Why would he put all that work into a rifle with a poor bore?
Great work, especially if it is reversible to original SVT configuration. It's their rifle of course, but I don't know why people choose tokarev rifles to create SVD reproductions. There are plenty of SVD variants chambered for .308 and a near infinite supply of Norc M14s. Cheap (and always will be), no historical value and lots of replacement parts available, seems a perfect choice to me.
The SVT-40 on the other hand is a piece of histoy in short supply. When the war stores overseas dry up we will see their prices skyrocket, look at the crazy prices the americans pay for a SVT-40.
Here is one of those .308 SVDs:

But SVD's are named prohibs you are aware of that right? If that is an actual SVD variant than almost none of us can own it and nobody can shoot it in Canada. Unless its a different (functioning) gun just dressed up to look like an SVD. In that case where can I get one of those?
Probably a dressed up Valmet Hunter?
Probably a dressed up Valmet Hunter?
It can be converted back to the original stock, and the rifle bore isn't perfect, but its decent. and I chose the SVT because it already kinda resembles an SVD.
You looked up "######" to see if it was a place you didn't know about? lol![]()
