ok before everyone getts pissed at me for adding a plastic stock or something intensly distastefull like that, this isnt what this is about. i love my SVTs, but dislike haveing to shoot em with muffs alll the time. yes we should be wearing muffs anyways i know. im old and deff allready, but even that being said, i cant shoot the svt without em. ok so been siting and thinking, and this sundays project went off without a hitch. ill let the pics explain this if i can get photobucket to work
ok so now you have all figured it out. i turned that on the lathe out of an old piece of enfield bbl. faced off flat for the end that goes against the muzzel and a 45 taper on the front end, to meet the inside taper of the nose piece. it worked great, muzzle blast gone. put 60 through it thisaft givein her the test. yes a tad bit more recoil, but not that much more. all in all im very happy, going to build a few for friends around hear. gona look for the correct size tubeing to make the job easyer. a lil blueing and nobody will even know. guys at the range are MUCH happyer to stand beside me now
just s FYI if some of you wish to try this, its a LH thread on the cap
