Hi Milsurp fans,
I'm sure you're aware that SFRC has a deal on the svt-40 right now. I'm considering buying one but they come with no warranty or promise of a decent bore. If you have bought one from them recently, whether as part of their recent deal or not, how are the guns you've received. Are they decent shooters? condition of their bores? condition of the rest of them, cosmetically or otherwise.

Before you go that route, did you check out Coastal in Mt.Pearl, they probably have a few SVT's kicking around. Make sure to check 'em out first tho, they had regular and AVT stocks when I saw 'em last. Cheers.
 
Haven't shot mine, too many other damn things to do :D, but it came as advertised. Little slow on the shipping but I think they were between orders. Could have been packaged a little better, though. Arrived at the local flower shop, of all places :D, but that's the Purolator depot. Wouldn't expect a waranty on a Mil surp and you can't very well do an inspection on a mail order, so you take a chance

Got one of mine from SFRC it is beautiful, way better looking then the one I got from Marstar. Havent shot it yet but the bore looks good. They even got me a specific one I wanted. Only reason I got one from Marstar was got a $75 dollar sks with it. If I could do it again I would buy both from SFRC.
 
Got mine from SFRC and very happy with what I received. Excellent condition / bore and a great shooter. I'm so happy I just ordered another one with the 880 round special for $500.00. I asked for a four port muzzle brake this time and hopefully a naval stock. Keeping my fingers crossed!
 
From I've seen, the bores on most of these are pretty good. I could totally afford to buy the rifle, but shipping ammo to me would be...expensive. Maybe some day.
