I just ordered an SVT from SFRC. :D

I'm just wondering which gas setting you guys are using for those using Russian surplus. Obviously I'll tweak the setting if necessary, I'd just like to get an idea of what to start it at.

Thanks. :D:D:D:D:D:D

1.3 is a good setting to start, if doesn't work perfect then turn to 1.5 and you will be good for any conditions. There's should be no need to use the 1.7 setting.

Start at 1.1 and work your way up. I am shooting MFS ammo at 1.1 and it is spitting the casing outs with no problem.

1.2/1.3 I find cycles all types of 762x54r surplus on my 2 SVTs. Thats light ball czech, light russian, light romanian, and heavy ball Hungarian

Always, the idea is to get the empties OUT of the rifle reliably, but JUST OUT.

Any semi-auto rifle shoots its most accurately with the empties just popping out of the rifle. If brass flies over to the next Province, you are using 'WAY too much gas and can cause all kinds of problems for yourself: inaccuracy, battering, parts breakage, uncontrolled fire, little things like that.

Good luck.
