Anyone know where I can find a svt-40 gas adjustment tool? I think Frontier used to have them but they are currently sold out.

i think P&s has them ( http://psmilitaria.50megs.com/ ), but like fireball said, you can use another tool, but i personnaly prefer the svt-40 gas adjustment tool.

You shouldn't turn the adjustment unless the piston is backed off...which means, you don't really need the tool, since at that point you can turn the adjuster with your fingers.

Now, yes, it's nice to have the tool, but...

You need an 8mm wrench to back off the piston.
