Hey folks,

I just bought a SVT-40 on the weekend without any extra parts or bits (not even a sling). After doing a bunch of legwork and wading through the metric sh*t ton of COD posts on google, I came up with nothing.

Anyone know where I could find a SVT-40 multi tool? A full tool kit would be nicer.

For an original full tool kit, expect to pay $100+ if you can find one, they are very scare. I was lucky to get one on Gunbroker for $90.

I just got my repro gas tool today, and I was wondering if anyone here knew what the smaller notch is supposed to be for? I know the large notch is for removal of the gas regulator, but have been unable to figure out what the small notch is for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The small notch is a wrench to screw the cleaning jag on the cleaning rod. The cleaning jag is the same as the mosin Nagant:)

thanks svt1940 that makes sense. I am left wondering why these tools did not include a surface to unscrew the crossbolt. Seems like a massive oversight to me.
Yeah, the tool for the cross bolt is the same tool for adjusting the elevation of the front sight but that tool rarely come in SVT cleaning kit(if you can find one) and the original tool sell for $50+. For the crossbolt, i made a tool with a 5/16 bolt. I filed a notch on it until i get the real tool.
