So after a day of shooting I went to re-assemble by svt-40 after cleaning her, and now Ive got a problem. When I went to put the bolt, bolt carrier, main spring (and guide rods), and dust cover back together everything ended up getting seized right up. Everything was going fine till I went to put the dust cover on (which is essentially the last step). I had the spring and guide rods depressed in the bolt carrier with the bolt and bolt carrier forward. I went to put the dust cover on, lined it up with the spring head properly (or at least I thought I did), and everything seemed to snap together fine. But then, when I went to rack the bolt carrier, it wouldn’t go back all the way. Now the bolt and bolt carrier will not move back more than two inches before they get stuck, and the dust cover will not slide forward at all. Its completely seized. I suspect the springs and guide rods werent aligned properly and have somehow seized everything up, but Im really not sure.

If anyone has had a similar issue or any ideas, some guidance would very much be appreciated.

I also have some pics and video if anyone wants a clearer picture of what Im talking about.

The dust cover can be tricky to get back on
I use the trick of placing a loaded 7.62x54 round in behind to hold the bolt/spring and then the cover just slips on no problem

try to get a flat tip screwdriver between the rear of the body cover and action and gently push it forward 1/4 inch . to see if the spring is out of place. be careful not to crush the spring.
