SVT-40 Question

I once tired but getting my ##### in the magazine was hard enough. I came up with the idea of cutting it off but didn't really think about the consequences afterward.

You don't have to put it in the mag, just ram 'er up the tube & hit the charging handle & those bad ass springs take care of the rest. I read it on the internet so it must be true!

Looks like we scared OP off. Too bad.

in some weird way it could have been a legit question, maybe he broke it and is wondering what the fallout of firing it would be, maybe someone is offering him a firesale deal on an svt with a broken safety, maybe he just worded the question wrong. But to answer the question with a question, WOULD YOU THINK IT WOULD BE OK TO DRIVE A CAR WITH THE BRAKES REMOVED? you could just throw it into park at red lights and gear down before stopping

I think the safety just blocks the trigger. I don't see any other side effects other than not having a safety. The lever is not attached to anything other than the tg on the semi version.

why would u remove your safety?

I took the whole gun apart to familiarize myself with it, when I went to put it back together again I could not find the safety. It looks like it will work without it, the only difference I can see is that the trigger can now move further back than it did before. Would that make it function abnormally ? I thought I would ask before shooting it.

I'm surprised at all the full auto talk. and the talk of sticking #####es in the chamber.

Never be surprised by the answers on this or any site. You asked a legit question and most of the stupid answers were from people who didn't have a F%&*#ing clue how the trigger group works. The answer is, nothing bad will happen.

Well Cupid Stunt you're officially initiated into the forum and all it took was one post to whip us all into a frenzy. Let us know how your rifle functions with a range report and of course enjoy.

Fair enough.
If you are legit, and not a snoopy reporter, I take back my earlier comment.

I approve this comment...

Cupid Stunt,
Dont listen to all the bull about chambering your #####. I have years of experiance making love to guns.
If you want a smooth entry and endless pleasure, buy a thumbhole stock, left or right, they both work
equally well.
You will get a ton of reccomendations on lubrication, at the end of the day just removing the splinters
with 800 sand paper works for me. Simpler is allways better.
And, dont waste your money on high end stuff, the low end Savages will give you great BANG for your buck.
