svt 40 question

hey guys i want to put a scope on my svt 40 but i did some researcher and mine was not a sniper model it doest have the grooves in it any suggestions what would work
 
^^^Its not really that big of a pain to take off for cleaning, the OP will need an svt with groves to mount it though. The only other option is to drill and tap the reciever for a posp style scope, which would suit the svt but drilling an svt just seems wrong in a small way lol.
 
I would keep it and buy another one with grooves. Some without grooves are more rare:
Some SVT-40's have been observed without these rails most of which were Ishevsk production of 1941 dated guns as well as some Tula produced weapons in 1940-41. These non railed rifles of early production are very few in number and are a prime collectors item for the Tokarev fan.
