Finally i found a shooting spot , so i decide to shoot my SVT for the first time , i had only 4 box of ammo but i was really surprised by that rifle ,

my gas setting was a 1.5 , the first 15 round where not ejecting was shooting some ammo 200gr non corrosive , i switched to the MFS 203gr , the rifle was cycling perfectly so i came back with the first kind of ammo and all was good now , i didnt check too much for accuracy but with the mfs i see some good looking grouping near 50 yard , that rifle is very loud , but the recoil is very low for the cartridge it shoot , soo i consider it money well spend , will have to check the mag because it pinned so tight that im unable to put the 5 round sometime or had difficulty to close the bolt at first round so i will just probably shave the block a little bit

The video was recorded with a gopro hero 3 black edition at 720p 120 fps , some part of the video are at 10 fps we can see the barel waving after the shoot in that slow mo , next time i will try to record it at 250 fps ,

Nice video! I made one too with my svt on sat, so much fun! Were did u go shooting? I see your from fort sask, I go out by bruderheim all the time.

I was out yesterday at Silverdale with my SKS and new (to me) Mosin I just got the day before. I was talking to another person who was there with his mosin, sks, svt-40 and got to shoot his SVT. I couldn't believe the difference in recoil.

I was thinking about grabbing one, now I'm gonna get one for sure.

i have edited and exported this video maybe in a hours , no like the other i have done with my cz858 where i have take like a big part of day ,

next video will be better ^^

Now I want one even more. There seems to be quite a few around the past couple months.

This will be my next rifle, I've recently developed a liking for the Russian milsurps since I picked up my SKS. As good of a value as the Mosins are, there are just too many things about them I personally dislike. A semi-auto in 7.62x54R sounds right up my alley.

I completely agree! I shot my 51' Tula SVT40 for the first time on Sunday and it was an incredible experience. I picked up 2 boxes of MFS 185g and it was just great to shoot.

Just like yours, I noticed that my shells were being ejected about 45-90 degrees forward. That indicates the the gas setting is high and should be dialed down until it ejects perpendicular to the rifle. I didn't have the gas tool then but will adjust it before the next shoot.

Nice video!
