Hey everyone.

Took my SVT out yesterday for a good shoot. Brought her home, cleaned all the corrosive out of her, and put it back together.

Now the problem is, I can't pull the bolt back, or slide the bolt cover forwards towards the barrel. I got about 1/2 a inch travel for the bolt and cover.

What gives?:confused::confused:

You might have inserted your bolt on the wrong track. ( level)

Can you take a picture of the reciver?

Hmmm? I'm thinking the spring is jammed in the bolt carrier. Or, is the hammer getting in the way? Try to remove the trigger group and start the sequence again.

I would say your return spring has slipped Out of its groove and has jammed up inside as well. Prepare for a lot of wiggling, and cramped or pinched fingers before you get it apart
That happened to me one of the last times I took my cranky old siege of Moscow vet for a shoot and cleaning. That thing has an angry soviet ghost in it I swear.

The rear spring has a slight bend in it, which was causing the mess up inside. Its fixed now, but the question is, where do I get some new springs?

Try putting the bent end of the spring in first and have the better one be the second spring, the bent spring should ok as it sits inside the bolt carrier channel.

Set of two new made springs for $20 and they do ship to Canada: w ww.ppsh41.com/SVTitems.html
