I received this SVT-40 a few weeks back, and I noticed two of the rare features of refurb SVT-40s in this one rifle.
Frist of all it's a Kovrov arsenal model with distinctive markings. Second it's in an AVT-40 stock, not an SVT-40 stock. I wonder if its actually not that weird of a combination, as there's another one like it on Surplusrifleforum.
The difference is that my rifle was never an AVT-40 (as evidenced by the cutouts in the compensator), but sits in an AVT stock.
The trigger guard is also a Kovrov arsenal model. I wonder how common this is? It seems unlikely that two Kovrov parts would somehow find eachother again.
