Svt 40

Things Military, $100. I can't vouch for quality or originality as I stumbled across them in my recent quest for 6.5x55 PPU which seems to have completely evaporated.

Those look like the same repros that WestRifle used to carry for $80. Much fiddling and fitting must be done in order to get them to feed reliably. It took a bit of effort, and trips back and forth to the range to test, but I eventually got a couple of those to work (the WestRifle ones).

In general, original SVT-40 mags are essentially unobtanium. Repros will require fitting, if you're lucky, or will just plain fall apart and possibly damage your gun in the process if you're unlucky.

Even if you find an original there's a good chance it will need fitting. It was a nightmare getting a second working mag for my SVT.

Corwin Arms used to have some kicking around as well. Many of them required significant fitting to get them to operate correctly, and some didn't require any. It was a lottery really. Send Martin an email he might still have a few kicking around.

most availible mags are junk they are some cheap copies but they are priced like they are quality. I ended up getting them to work you have to change the follower, springs with originals and then they work magically well without grindind required.....so whoever copied them didnt copy the springs or follower properlly

Stripper clips are cheaper and I would suspect almost as fast to reload. You can buy a fair number of stipper clips for the price of a repro magazine that requires fitting to work.

I found some at a local gun show. But beware cheap mags. I bought some originals for 140$ and one for 80$ from some Russians. They said the cheaper repro ones don't always work. I had to file down the cheap one to fit and it still dosent load the rounds perfect every time.
