I saw that ad . I'm not interested in scoping it . Just thought it would be cool to have one to shoot along side my M1

they're great. The Soviet M1. The ergonomics aren't as good as Garand's masterpiece, but they're still a great bang for the buck. Cleaning them is a little laborious, though. Like an SKS but more complicated.

I've been looking at that scope mount too, but I was hoping somebody else would play guinea pig first. But I'm contemplating doing some bedding before I do anything scope related, since my action-to-stock fit isn't that great.

I don't own one, but I put around 500rds through a friends rifle. It had no problems using surplus 54r ammo. I found the stock contours very comfortable and it was also accurate. It's supposed to be about 1lb lighter than a Garand, but it felt even lighter than that. I thought the recoil felt lighter than the Garand also. I've always been wanting to get one but my friend has two, so right now I just buy ammo and enjoy.:)

I have one and like it, shoots well. The biggest problem I have is the stock seems to be made of balsa wood, it is even softer than the Norc chu-wood.
