Hi John:
As per another thread about the sam 1911 the quote below made me ask is this possible on an SVT - 40?? I am in the same boat as Petrock on a limited budget at the moment so I have to ask would I be able to stretch out a payment on a SVT -40 as I want one but a bit tight on $$$$.
Please let me know or who to contact/call or email over there so I can set something up if possible.
OPhh before I forget that part you wrote back to petrock about not returning it, I am not interested in returning anything - I am only concerned that it functions properly only (have to keep me happy at the range/field/bush/etc.)
Thank you,
Tim

Can we do $40/month EMT for the next 14 months? That would be something like $37 interest if tax is 13% and $25 for shipping.....
I will be away at the Shot Show next week, e-mail to Sales@wolverinesupplies.com mark for the attention of Guy and I will leave it to him to work out a deal with you. Our normal lay-a-way plan is over three months interest free and refunded if canceled. If drawn up over 14 months the monies paid would not be refunded if you canceled.

That's common practice in Brazil (where I come from), you can buy anything from underwear to cars that way. LOL
Last time I was there for a visit my wife wanted to buy a couple T-shirts, it was only 20 bucks and they wanted to sell it to her in 4 installments, interest free on her credit card. (weird...I know)
A 400 dollars item would easily be available in 5 to 10 installments anywewhere. Either credit card pre-authorized payments or post dated cheques. Additional fees are disclosed when it is a credit card transaction and added to the cost.

Hundreds of items are sold that way to people who cannot afford to buy it right away.

Lots of people are happy with their new goodies and store owners get richer.

It would be great to be able to buy things that way here too, I would have bought my AR a long time ago.
BUT, I'm no business man and I don't know the costs, difficulties and risks in implementing that.

Me neither all I knoww is I want it and thanks to cut backs and other bull crap in my job I took a huge pay cut and now I have to struggle along and look for better jobs but I still want my toys and if John is willing then so am I he can sit on that SVT till It is payed off and I have no interest in dragging it for a year or something silly like that but I know I can not pay for it in one shot due to A) my wife will kill me and B) I need to survive and pay bills/food etc.
So If this is a no then so be it if it is a Yes then wooohooooo I am in.

The local gun shop in the town I live in will do "lay away" purchases but wants full payment within three months. I think that's fair to all.

Yes but with today's uncertainty I would like the option of being able to string it for 6 months at most if possible just in case.
