SVT-40's Arrived

Does anyone know where I can get a repro svt magazine in Canada?
I've been looking for a 5 round cut-off mag, but no luck yet. If I find some I'll let you know.
This is one ###y rifle. Shoots good too.

Hey, Desert Fox,
On-tay-ree-ay-ree-ay-ree-oh-oh! It's a wonderful place. Varied landscape and the Great Lakes. Lots of little lakes. Why would I want to live anywhere else? I am an Ontarian. An Upper Canadian.

Who needs lakes when you can have mud??? ;)

Alberta.

f**k yeah! :D

All Ontario bashing aside... :p Nice SVT.

Oh, and since this is a thread about SVT40s, I will include a picture of the one I sold to my friend, as well as its short cousin, the Polish M44. ;)

Thanks Chumlee, my gun actually came with the original mag cut off to 5 rounds but they did an ugly job. Most of the guns I'm seeing in Manitoba have the same cut off five rounder. The gun looks better with the full mag though. I just want a spare mag but it'd be cool to find a repro 10 rounder so the gun can look original.

SFRC just put them on sale $275.If I didn't just buy an sks and Mosin I would get one myself.Maybe next month, price seems to be dropping a bit ,competition ? Supply? or both?

I also got my SVT from SFRC.. that were great to deal with and seem to have the cheapest prices anywhere. I have yet to get it out to the range, but I can't wait!

I would said supply. With the new laws in the U.S regarding importation of firearms i'm not sure if they can import them anymore and the price for a refurb SVT like we have here goes in the roof! In europe, somes are sold deact! and not at cheap price.

Nothing to do with that. I just decided to put them on special. This is my last case and there won't be more for a few months or longer.

My thoughts were about the fact that Tokarev are cheap in canada comparatively to the U.S or any others place so my guess was that it because we can have them kinda easily if i can say? Thanks for clarifications anyways:)

The SVT40 is a beauty. I took mine up to the Sylvester Road Area and a field day with it. Got it sighted in and it's shooting perfect now.

Very accurate weapon!

I'm looking to get a scope for it BUT I can't justify paying large sums of money for it since I only paid about $300 for the gun itself.

Not sure how to go about this....any suggestions?

Not much aftermarket scope mount for scoping a Tokarev, whatever road you choose, will cost probably as much as the rifle.
