SVT and Mosin Ammo sale

I don't shoot from rests or benches or with scopes, and don't measure MOA with my Mosins.
I'm honest with myself enough to not blame the ammo when I miss Lol! So, this ammo treats me and my Mosins just fine.

Sounds like you still get to enjoy yourself at the range without all the extra bs. Unless I'm shooting at a gong (which is really a lot of fun) I personally like to see how good I can get on paper. It's a personal challenge. I do have a lead sled and have checked what my rifles can do before I try to better my technique. At that point I know what I'm trying to achieve without blaming myself for ammo variances. At least that's what I tell myself. ;)

I would like to purchase 100 of the white tips for reloading. I am looking for just the bullets, not loaded ammo as shipping on such a small amount will be too expensive.

The x39 sale did seem to have more "legs" than the x54 sale. Maybe because the former was non corrosive while the latter is not?
Or peoples funds were eaten up by the x39 sale so had to sit this one out?

When i first got my pal I thought. hey, maybe Ill stock up. Now I had to use ammo for trades cause I cant even burn threw it. Sure the price went up but you can always find it at the same price on sale or from someone who sold there SVT or SKS.

It must be my newbie enthusiasm that is making me burn through so much ammo. Each visit to the range, I go thru 100 rounds of x39 and either 50 or 20 rounds of x54r (depending on whether I brought my SVT or Mosin).

I'm a bit of a surplus ammo whore myself. I'm heading out today and will put 300 x39 rounds down range. I typically shoot 200 rounds of x54 too, but today will just be the SKS, 12ga & 20ga.

Well, if I'm gonna gather up my gear, load up the SUV, and make the not so short drive out there.... I'm gonna make it count!

I'm the same. It's a 50 min drive for me to get to my range. I usually pack a lunch and make a day of it. Typically I will put 300+ rounds of 7.62X25, 150 7.62X39, and roughly 200 7.62X54R downrange in a day.

It's a lot of fun but I only get to do that once a month if I'm lucky.

Watch out for those Tokarev TT-33's! $169 of pure ammo eatin fun! It goes SOOOO fast. I could shoot more than 300 rounds but even with cheap Milsurp ammo it gets expensive.

I went threw about 5 crates in my first year plus at least 500 shotgun shells and 10,000 rounds on .22lr, Now im down to about a crate of each a year most. Now its all about putting targets up up 100 + yards and sighting in my irons as accurate as I can get. I rarely burn over 100 rounds any more, I do burn threw 10+ targets and take a walk to check after every shot sometimes. Even with the VZ58 i check every 5-10 shots and watch my grouping, Last week i only shot 140 rounds in 3 hrs.

Actually, Semi auto has been losing my interest lately as I like to reach out to 100 yards or farther. I rather shoot 3 shot Sub MOA groups with a 6.5 sweddish groups then 20 round 6 inch groups with 7.62x39. Ever since I started hunting I realized the difference between range shooting and in the field shooting where things like to move and are unpredictable. Even shooting a grouse that caught you off guard with a shotgun is a challenge with larger shots like #4 or #5.

I will still keep my SKS's, SVTs. and VZ for thos days i am frustrated and just want to hammer off rounds and clays and pop cans. After all, I have been allot let stressed since I started shooting and hunting.

10,000 rounds of .22 ammo! You must be the one responsible for the .22 shortage! Strangely, someone else was telling me that they bought
several thousand rounds of .22 recently. I guess that is why most people are such good shots compared to me, they get out there and shoot!

I can see myself getting more interested in long range and moving target shooting as things progress, once I get the blazing away out of my system.

There is no real shortage, its guys buying them cheap and reselling .22 is great to try to steady your shooting stance and practice all sorts of standing/crouching positions. If your lucky you can snatch the 2-3 time a year shipment to wallmart at 25$ a brick and unload 500 rounds a day as you please for the next year without worry.
