I was using Youtube and came across this video. Is there such a thing as a SVT-Carbine?
How rare are they? Where can I get one? and How much do they cost? I have 4 long versions I would love a carbine if they exist.

The rifle in the video which they take apart looks shorter than the versions I have. (half way thru to the end of the video)

There is an svt40 carbine. Saw it with my own eyes at a Georgia gun show. It's not called that, it has a different designation. Lemme dig out the name.

Pic above is not authentic carbine.

Designation is SKT (K stands for carbine). There are couple of them in factory museums (pictures confirmed) with trial specific serialization, there were couple of hundreds made for field trials, nobody saw them, they might actually never got to the front lines. There might be only one in Finland , however no pics and so I'm skeptical.
So apart of museum trial rifles I saw many pictures, heard so many claims about "authentic carbines" in someone's collection or at some GS and I handled several carbines in person. None of those carbines on pictures and I handled was authentic. You'll have better chances finding 1945 made SKS in 7.62x41, at least there are couple of documents about them being sent to two units.

There it is....SKT. The one i saw, seeing as how i had no idea carbine lenght SVTs even existed, was a shock to me....i certainly didnt know at the time how to try and differentiate a reak SKT from a reproduction.....

I'd be willing to bet the one i saw was not the real deal.
