SVT carbine

I'd like a range report before I share my thoughts on this. It could be a handy-dandy bush gun if it works out good. Let us all know how it shoots will ya OP ?

You are doing it again?!?!?
Just like the other posts in the 3000$ cz.
I have never put anyone on my ignore list but your such a goof and totally annoying that I just pipped my cherry on you.

You're not the first one to put that troll on the ignore list. This thread reads much better with his comments all removed.

As to the OP, I'd love to see her in action and know how she handles.

Cheers

That metal is supposed to be loose & floppy. If it not, you point of impact will vary greatly as the metal shields warm up and expand.

Hmm. Learn something new every day. I figured the loose guards were contributing to my lousy accuracy... must be something else.

Either way, sweet project!

How does it balance and shoot?

Could be. Have you checked if the barrel is contacting the stock ? The poor open sights do nothing for accurate shooting, neither does poor ammo etc.

Nobody knows for sure, and likely never will.

Would you like an educated guess ? :)

What's the purpose ?

There were carbine conversions, created from battle-damaged barrels. Typically, they were shortened to the 1st oval-ish vent. Not being readily available, and SVT's at $200... A barrel conversion has never been so readily available. Furthermore, think how much handier could they be! I am worried I will smack the barrel with mine - being super [too] long. I am tempted to do the same conversion - on another SVT...

Good idea.
Now back to the topic at hand.
Looks cool; it's not in Milsurp so crack on.
Do you have access to a chrono too?
Bet it'd look good at dusk; be some loud though

I'm not usually one for modifying such glorious battle rifles but, you sir have modified one in such a way as to do it the justice a nazi-smokin' Ruskie rifle of the SVT-40's distinction deserves.

Excellent job.

Hey Sunray. Did the OP use your rifle or gun. Did it change your life. NO. So shut th f--- up and let it go. It is guys like you that turn new shooters away from this site. To the OP, nice job well done.
