It still seems like there is a logical disconnect somewhere - the SVT-40 did not see widespread service beyond WW2. Every single other current "Red Rifle" was exclusively post-WW2, from the Cold War to the present day.
How is this going to make it less confusing, particularly when Mosins are still A-OK in the milsurps section? Why not simply post a notice in the Red Rifles section clarifying that SVTs should go in Milsurps? We seem to be overwhelmingly in agreement that this should be the case.

I say just do away with red rifles altogether and amalgamate them all into military surplus.
Failing that though, I completely agree with your statement.
However, majority vote is only relevant in a democracy my friend
This not be one....

Good enough. I'd still rather talk here about the SVT but I won't take my ball and go home over it.

thats fine with me , i didnt think i had the power to allow that but the admin approved it so it will be in both .

Wow! We just had a calm, reasoned debate on the internet!

Thanks Curtton, and all who participated.

Incidentally, it's funny how several East Bloc countries used the Mosin extensively thoughout the 1950s, but hardly an SVT to be seen? I wonder if any were utilized during the Red Army's invasion of Hungary in 1956. I've seen lots of PPsH sub-machine guns in the photos, as well as freedom fighters with acquired Mosins. For some reason, I cannot recall any SKS in the photos either.

Stays as is? Awesome! This and C-19 all in the same year! I'm buying a lottery ticket tonight!!
