Wow, id never seen a pic of the carbine length. But mine was never one, and if i can just as easy rebarrel it, id be happy, but gaff I do know what you are thinking. Ill keep you updated.

I have heard that the Soviets experimented with carbine length SVTs during the war as a field mod for urban fighting. I have also heard it wasnt the most successful mod as they had issues with the cycling and stocks. A reliable, fully automatic SVT carbine sure would be fun though.
