Does anyone in Canada sell spare SVT 40 Mags? Original ($$$!) or repro?

I know there are places in the US that sell them but the legality of possessing a 10 round mag (assuming it would be shipped) for even the time it would take to go to a gunsmith for pinning makes me slightly uneasy.

Advice?

Good luck finding them in Canada. They came in with one gun, one mag.
Just buy 4 complete rifles and you have 4 mags!

:D If I could afford it I would. It's just so painful looking at American websites and reading gunboards and the surplusrifle forums.

There has to be some rundown warehouse in Russia somewhere with 1,000,000 spare magazines packed away waiting.

Is it legal to import a ten round mag and have it pinned yourself?

It is so tempting looking at that little pop rivet pinning the magazine too, it is a good thing the Hungarian light ball on stripper clips work slick or I might give in.:p

but If you have on mag allready and stripper clips what's the problem.

I think we can all agree as milsurp collectors that more is always better. I like to have spares just to fill out the mag pouch.

on the range you can use 10 round clip, but not for hunting :)
Is this true? I don't hunt. This would make me happy. I'm sure I would have heard or read about that though.

Pilgrim where did you see a $250 spare clip. Too rich for my blood, I think if a person is patient they will trickle over here if there is enough demand.

Semi Auto Center Fire must be pinned to 5 rounds for the SVT40 for hunting and the range. Pilgrim better recheck his books.

The repro mags arn't any good as they jam - Go Original only.

No, you can not, Pilgrim. Centrefire semi auto rifle mags must be pinned to 5, regardless of where you shoot it.
