Hey, so after cleaning my new SVT, (I have four here) I'm noticing that the trigger goes click click with each pull, whether cocked or not. its about half or less the click of an actual dry fire.

My other triggers dont do this...

Thoughts?

all ive done is clean it, oiled it, and with the trigger assembly removed from the gun i triggered the hammer (almost smashed my knuckle when it went off). then reset it.

It was quiet before, and i swapped in another trigger assembly, doesnt make the click, but wont engage properly... its a lot harder to work the trigger assembly with a scope on the SVT, cant lay it down to press the assembly back in, have to stand it up on the muzzle and rubber hammer.

I have that on a few of my SVT's.... Have only fired a couple of them, but not any of my "click click" ones....

Thought that it was different, but I'm not overly worried.

I have an SKS like the one you mentioned having to use a rubber mallet on to get the trigger group back in.

One of the ones I got from Lever Arms does what you are speaking of, the trigger will over travel a bit after the rifle has been fired and not cocked again.

Was a bit worried about it, but the rifle shoots amazing regardless of this little quick and never slam fired or anything so I say oh well whatever until it causes a problem.
