Good day everyone

Just received my SVT40 made in 1943 ordered from Trade ex Canada

I am wondering why the bolt on mine is brownish looking, it might as been painted long time ago or maybe it is a differant edition???

and also the stock on it is not the same as all the other svt40 I've seen on picture
for example, on the stock the rear atatchement for the sling look more like the mosin Nagant type(inside the stock) instead of being outside?

so far the quality of the stock really impress me for a 1943 rifle WOW

I bought it with the 880 FMJ Rounds deal and free shipping for 629.99 for those intrested

wrong section. You might have better luck in the milsurp threads

Maybe but this is the Red rifles forum ...

I was quite shure the SVT40 was a RED RIFLE...

Red Rifles Evil Baby Eaters from the Combloc and the Warsaw Pact:confused:

maybe Russia or the Soviet union Was NOT part of the Comblock or the Warsaw pact I will have to go learn my history again...

but ya maybe Il have better luck in the surplus section but what is the reason for this Red rifles section... most of the red rifles around are surplus???

I am confused:bangHead:

You probably have a AVT naval stock with 2 littles "carving" for the safety, thoses stock are heavier and stronger than the regular ones because they were built for the AVT 40, a full auto version of the svt but never issued in large quantity due to parts breakage. As for the bolt carrier, its been refurb and the bluing on that part come in a brownish-red color. Originally, the bolt and carrier where in the white. Congrat for your new rifle:)
