SVT40 Bolt Lock Trouble Shooting

I just received an SVT40 and I have two problems:

1. The bolt lock is not disengaging when the magazine floor plate is depressed. This result is the bolt is stuck in the rearward position. I must then manually disengage the bolt lock with a punch, which allows the bolt to slide into the forward position.

2. The magazine is not releasing, in order to remove the magazine, I must depress the magazine release leaver and use a vinyl mallet to tap the magazine out of place.

I tried a different magazine thinking it was a magazine problem, but it seems to be the rifle itself.

As the bolt lock is not part of the trigger mechanism, I don't know how to access this part for repair.

Suggestions.

Maybe field strip it and post pics. Compare a good SVT40 to the bad SVT40 for measurements, differences, inequalities, wear, bent, broken, etc. Something is bound to show up.

Maybe even swap every part out one at a time from each rifle back and forth related to the mag/bolt and isolate it that way. A pain in the butt and time consuming, but will get you there to solving the problem.

bolt lock/ejector is jammed. Common problem with the re-blued guns. They just dipped everything and did not disassemble the bolt lock/ejector assembly.
PM me as I can probably help.
