I found a Globco Mohawk SVT40 303 conversion for sale today in poor condition & missing a magazine.
I like a project but not really into modding mags to make them work.
SO with that said does any one know if a stock SVT mag works with 303?
Secondly whats a fair price once its all cleaned up assuming the bore is good?

Both my 555's were less than 400 to the door

Sounds about right. I would say a bit more but it seems that gun sales are in a slump right now. Gr, does both your Mohawks have feeding issues or is there one that runs flawlessly? And to the OP, they are SVT mags.

Ive only shot one, once but no issues in 40 rounds
The gas adjustment was pretty high if I recall.

this gun is going for $150 with no mag.
Was looking for a fix n flip project but im starting to worry its not worth my time.
Can any one tell me how to remove the piston shield so i can have a good look to see if its all rusted up or not?

Hey Riven, if you pass on this, I would not mind buying it if it's an SVT40. I don't mind it's converted and missing a magazine as I love projects. If you buy it for $150 - I could buy it from you for $200 and will pay the shipping since I can't fly to Ontario to get it. I have an SVT40 myself that's complete with a magazine, i could try my magazine on this converted STV to see if it would work with 303.

Edit: I just google it, it's a 555, so it's not just an SVT that had a barrel redrilled to a 303 caliber but it was very heavily modified and the gas system to eject was shortened and brought more to the back and the barrel was completely replaced with a different one and the stock was changed too. I would buy it for $150 and pay the shipping to just see what of it could be used for parts for a real SVT. Do you know if that place that sells it offer shipping?
