SVT40 Gas Setting Numbers?

Hi,

My eyes aren't what they used to be. Could someone read the numbers on their pentagonal shaped gas regulator and tell me them? Thanks,

1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7. I think the Finn ones go up to 2.0.

Is the number that is facing up the number that the gas setting is set at?

Yeah. If you look close there's a line on each side you line up with an arrow on the housing. Most of them seem to like being on 1.3, that's where mine is. Its a little off-center actually, I had some problems at first but they seem to have cleared themselves up. I don't have to the tool to adjust it, so I'm pretty much stuck with it.

The really hilarious part is when someone suggested I try an Allen key.

The number correspond to the size of the gas hole in milimeters.

Ya dont need the tool to adjust ....simply loosen the 'gas tube' and the regulator will turn freely.

I think if the tool was readily available eveyone would be snapping off the little 'tit' for turning the regulator
