How is it done, and what number is a good place to start. Sorry I'm a bit of a svt noob. haven't actually fired it yet. Me and a buddy took it apart for cleaning and I have to say its a bit more complicated than the sks. Not looking forward to cleaning this thing every time out. does anyone have a video link on adjusting the gas settings? I had trouble finding one on youtube

There is a tool, but a small spanner or adjustable will work. If you want the tool, SFRC has a nice repro.

I took of the piston and then unscrewed the gas spigot.

Once the spigot is loose you should be able to turn the pentagonal gas regulator.

For most I think that 1.3 is normal. I gather the general idea is you want to run on the minimum gas setting that functions reliably.

The number on top is the setting. Make sure the number on top is level and perfectly flat or you will cut off some gas.
