I have been thinking about deblueing the bolt as i cant stand looking at the plum colour; so i decided to remove the firing pin to give all parts a nice vinegar bath.
I found a lot of cosmoline in there. This after giving the bolt a bath in mineral spirits over night, then hot water rinse, then general gun cleaning with hoppes.

Just thought id put this out there.

Thanks for the heads up man.
I have always wanted to dissassemble the firing pin on mine but I just never got around to it lol
Mind you mine works just fine now so I may pronlong it further.

You SHOULD detail strip the bolt when you first get the rifle, even though it has a spring-loaded firing pin.

Yeh, in hindsight i probably should have. The firing pin is easy enough to remove. I could not get the extractor off though.
