I dunno. Employers wanted proof of the jab or you could lose your livelihood. For me it was take it, or lose my job and I have five kids. I totally regret getting it.

These firearms are completely untraceable, they don’t exist anywhere on paper.

There had been so low compliance with the registry. I think you’ll see very low compliance with this. If I had to guess it’d be 10% or lower. Mostly depending on the compensation - when the UK banned guns they paid top dollar.

I wonder if the SKS was kept out because they’d only get a dozen or so, and that would make them look foolish. Mind you, the Liberals haven’t had any historical issues with looking like fools.

Remember there are a HUGGGGGEEEEE part of gun owners that are straight up Fudds and have no idea all of this took place... Hell, my father knows an old man that still own (or owned..?) pistols from back then and has no RPAL, no range membership... I spoke with an older guy at my range the other day that didn't even know the LGR was gone... And on the other hand, met a guy that didn't quite believe me when I told him a straight pull receiver converted AR was legit. All he saw was the shape of an AR and he was dead sure it was all banned period.

Not everybody follows all the latest news. How many times have you seen LE at your range? How many times have you been stopped going or coming back from the range? Even if you'd be caught at the range shooting that SVT (if they even recognize said firearm as 90%+ of LEO aren't gunnies), 99% chances all they'd says is : ''from now on, keep it in the safe buddy'' and that is it.

The same type of fear tactics will be used. Inflict a bit of fear and watch them line up to comply.

I have kids to raise too and the example I set for them means more than anything the government threatens me with.

I bet not but we’ll see I guess, I think a lot of the population let alone gun owners saw how quickly authoritarian things became during Fauxvid and it left a bad taste in their mouth.

I’m guessing we’ll see low numbers of anything turned in that was previously NR, like back in the LGR days. I know my old man had a few guns tucked away in the closet before he passed, he didn’t even have a FAC let alone a PAL.

They faced so much pushback the last time they tried to prohibit the sks, with the current reconciliation narrative happening they don’t want to piss off the natives or the bleeding hearts that support them unconditionally. It’s a loose loose scenario for them and they know it.
 
The oldest model I found on the list was 1908.

They're literally banning 80-116 year old rifles, calling them "modern military style assault weapons" and claiming the bans are desperately needed to stop shootings in Toronto and to protect women from domestic violence.

I'm not surprised by anything these scumbags do, anymore. I really wish I was. There is no lie they will not tell and no one is safe.

It makes zero sense. Criminals aren't going out of the way to make sure the gun isn't banned before proceeding with crime. I'm sure it will come to a point where we are only allowed bolt action rifles without a magazine, or break action only. Even then I'm sure if they look scary enough they will be banished from our playpen we call canada
