Looking for end-user input on some S&W revolvers

- PC 627 V Comp
- PC 327 TRR8
- 686 Plus (differences over reg 686)

Been awhile since i messed around witha wheelgun. Really looking for something in the 4.25" to 5" range, as I carried for work purposes for a number of years, but i'm not 12-6 approved. Also not biased towards 38/357 and would consider a 9mm or 44spl/Mag options.

Cheers

I have a 586 and had a 627 (not V Comp); trigger was quite good, but I was unable to find stocks that would work for my medium sized hands, so I sold it and kept the 586 (which fits me perfectly with Hogues). Especially with warmer loads it would start hurting my hand. Interestingly I couldn't bond with the 66 either, so it seems it's L frame for me.

Cylinder in the 627 was PITA to clean, with it being stainless and having 8 chambers =P

That said, it was superbly accurate and I really like the sights (gold bead); it looked suuper cool to.

686+ is a seven-shooter vs 686 which is a six-shooter.

686+ can be had in a lot more barrel lengths (2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) vs the 686 (4.125, 6) from what I can tell.

Mechanically / QC wise I don't think there's a difference beyond the requirements for 6 vs 7 shots, and the usual regular vs performance centre (which both are available in for various particular models)
