SW M&P15 Scope

I own the above mentioned firearm and right now I am looking at getting a scope. However I don't know a thing about scopes and have NO idea of how to start my search or what I should be looking for. The gun club I belong to has a 200Yard range.
Any tips would be great

I have an EOTECH 552 with the 3x magnifier on mine and find it works very well. I love the holographic sights and think the ring with central dot is great for transition between near and far targets.

Our club has a 300 meter range and it works to that distance with no problems. My wife also shoots it and loves the red dot. She also likes the simplicity of flipping out the magnifier for closer targets (we both do IPSC 3-gun with it).

If you're planning on shooting out to 200 yards, you'll want something that has decent magnification. You could look at the line of scopes produced by Falcon for a start. Another scope that is relatively inexpensive and provides a "red dot" is the Millett DMS which is in the 1-4x range.

The S&W comes with the carry handle sight. The iron sights alone are lots of fun shooting with.
