SW mod 41 bolt

Hello everyone,
I found that the bolt chipped on opposite of extractor side. Trying to find the bolt online, but only Numerich has it and they do not ship outside USA...
If someone knows, please help me how to find a replacement and order it to Canada.

When searching for parts I usually go Numrich, Western Gun parts then the warranty center for Canada for the manufacturer (Grech outdoors for SW) unless its for Cooey then its straight to JR Cooey parts.
If any of the mods are reading this it would be good to put a sticky thread "where to find parts."

Hi Dmitri,

Are you referring to the slide/bolt assembly for an S&W 41 22lr pistol? If so, Epps brought a couple in a month or two ago and appear to still have one available: https://ellwoodepps.com/s-w-smith-wesson-model-41-slide.html

(I think they got them to repair a used Model 46 that I returned to them with a cracked slide)

Like as not, if you showed up at the right welding shop with the part in your pocket and a box of donuts in hand, you could find someone to weld it for a really reasonable repair. A well done TIG weld will file or machine off cleanly, and will be as strong or stronger than what was there, given that it broke.

Yep, when I was searching for info on cracked 41/46 slides, I came across this post showing some nice fixes:

Thanks again! If the new bolt not found, I will go to welding path for sure.
Here is the picture of chipped bolt. Looks like anyway it is time to retire for it. Round count unknown...

Man, yep, a weld there would be pretty straightforward. Easy access to the spot to clean it up, and it becomes part of the history of a well used gun.

Once you see some of the weld repairs and build-ups done to aircraft parts, little wee areas like that look a lot less like the end of the world for sure!
