Very light gun. The Scandium frame seems to be S&W’s selling point. Not as tight a fit as, say, a SIG. The thumb safety was quite vague on mine; not a definite click for on/off. Trigger is average for a stock 1911. The trigger rattles. About 5lbs? Cycled and shot well. As accurate at IDPA distances as any other. Only issue I had with mine was it wouldn’t fully chamber a round consistently after about 5 mags. I had to push the slide shut the last few millimeters. It wouldn’t always happen but it happened enough to be annoying and take the gun out of contention for competition use. The gun always started fully cleaned so 5 mags wasn’t asking a lot. I just figured the chamber was tight. To be fair, this also happened with my SIG 1911. Maybe it was an unbroken in 1911 issue. I traded mine for a .40 cal.
I would value the Commander, used, at $600.
