Swapping M14 Bolts?

Lapping.... Pfffftt.
Just take the belt grinder and tig welder to the lugs....get that headspace correct at all costs lol.

Koff, koff. That's one of those humped up 7.62 Garands that Marstar was selling some time ago causing their customers and themselves a lot of sorrow.

On the topic of bolt lugs, another CGN member showed me a Garand bolt at the Chilliwack show that exhibited cracks where the lugs joined the bolt body. I asked him later if it was a bolt with the 0-19 heat treatment code. These were specifically classified as faulty in the US Army rebuild manual on the Garand dated 1953. He hasn't gotten back to me on it yet.

This happened today. The rifle was bought new less than a year ago and about 800 rounds of Norinco surplus. Anyone knows if Norinco will warranty this?

If depends on where you bought it.

AFAIK, only 2 retailers in Canada offer Warranty (one is a 1 year warranty) all others seem to offer a non-firing exchange/warranty, but once its fired it's likely on a case by case basis.

I contacted the retailer and they said they going to sent it back to the "distributor" and see what happen. I guess it is a case by case basis.
