Swarovki Z#

The same reason there are so many 10/22's for sale. The Z3 is an entry level Swaro scope, and the most likely scopes to be bought and sold from their lineup. The only issues with the Z3 are: no parallax correction of any kind, 1" tube, and the possibility that they may not be as robust as some other scopes as they are built to be light.

The 4-12x50 is the highest magnification Z3 model. Not many scopes that have 12x at the upper end of their zoom range have an adjustable objective.

Swarovski provides parallax adjustment on their own 1-8X Z8i scope, dispelling the idea that there is no benefit to the adjustment on lower power scopes.

All it really precludes the Z3 from is being an ideal rimfire varminter though...which is unfortunate, because it would be a perfect little rodent wacker if it had the provision!

For guys that shoot the broad side of a large animal at 100-300 yards, the lack of AO isn't likely to matter.

I have a couple of Z3s, a BRH reticle and a BT with plex reticle ,nothing bad to say about them, very nice glass for reasonable cost.

See a number of Z3's for resale. Are there issues with these scopes? Why so many resales?

I have 2 Swarovski Z3 and they are fantastic optics. Between by son and I, we have Swarovski, Zeiss and Leupold. Swarovski has the brighter, clearer, sharpest glass, and the turrets work flawlessly, they are bang-on. Can't go wrong with either of the said scopes, but Swarovski is our favorite.

Z3 is also the lightest weight in their line up which also helps when trying to limit the weight of your rifle u pack in the bush. I own 4 Z3’s.
