I purchased a Parts Kit on here a couple weeks ago for the AG42B. The bolt cover came with the ears ground off, so that gave me an idea similar to what I've seen on FN49s. The cover with the scope is snug no side play. Bushnell 1.5x4.5 with the command post. Nice thing about this you can switch covers in less than a minute. Bill.

I've seen this done before....but seriously doubt anything near a zero could be heald. I'd be interested in your results, and if their positive I'd like to post them on my site.

The Russian SVT-40 is quite similar to the Ljungman AG42B and it's been scoped. I wonder if this type of mount would work?

Then there's the scoped Ljungman shown on http://www.geocities.com/therealsailorx42/index.html

The SVT-40 has a charding handle thus the dust cover hence never be moved. The AG42B charges by the dust cover being pushed forward to catch the bolt carrier and then retracted to release it.

The scoped AG42B pic you've posted from my site uses a side mounted system similer to an AK-47 or VZ58.

My point being that tring to hold a zero with a scope mounted on a part of a firearm that MUST move in it's normal operation, proves a little difficult and unlikely to say the least.
